Premarital Counseling for First Responders

Jada has developed a premarital curriculum for first responders and those who love them. Being a first responder brings upon many unique and intense feelings and scenarios, and it is important that both people in the relationship are able to talk about these things and how they will approach them in this life they are creating together. She has developed this course after years of immersing herself into counseling first responders and firefighters. It is with her extensive experience with married first responders that she hopes to help save couples from many of the same problems and stresses she sees over and over again. Being prepared will lead to a happier, healthier, and more successful marriage.

A comprehensive premarital curriculum for first responders and those who love them would not be complete without discussing some of the more serious and traumatic parts of this very unique lifestyle and how they can affect a marriage. It is important to continue to remember the goal of being prepared. We always hope that the bad things will not happen to us, but there are too many cases of couples that have dealt with issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, and other mental health concerns that can be prevented through awareness and preparation. By learning about these things now, couples will be more apt to continue a successful, loving relationship even in the more challenging times of life.
