Addiction Counseling

Substance abuse walks hand in hand with other emotional problems.

Addiction is usually the result of physical and emotional self-neglect and the inability of victims to reconnect with their values, strengths, and skills. Using a client-centered approach, Jada helps clients uncover their natural abilities, feel more valued for their unique skills and strengths and guide them to the discovery of their feelings, desires, and goals. As the patient’s self-awareness and health increases, their dependence on the object of their addiction will decrease.

Jada’s experience in substance abuse also includes working with patients within an inpatient program for the treatment of substance abuse for firefighters and paramedics. She received her certification as a Recovery Coach from Governor’s State University through the Illinois Department of Human Services Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse. She earned her certification as a CADC (Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor) from the Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification Association, Inc.

Addictions know no boundaries. They can include:

  • Drug Abuse and Addiction

  • Alcohol Abuse and Addiction

  • Sexual Addiction

  • Pornography Addiction

  • Compulsive Shopping

  • Gambling Addiction

  • Eating Disorders

Jada's mission is to help each patient find freedom from substance abuse and heal, grow and live freely by breaking the destructive grip of addiction.

"The attempt to escape from pain, is what creates more pain."

- Dr. Gabor Maté
