Jada Hudson (M.S., LCPC, CADC), has helped individuals heal, grow and live for more than 20 years by creating a safe, non-judgmental, and open experience to guide clients to resolution or adaptation to their life challenges. She is a licensed counselor and owner of Hudson Clinical Counseling. Jada counsels many populations of individuals like first responders, including firefighters and law enforcement, who have experienced occupational stress and trauma. She also helps women, children, and adolescents struggling to manage life’s transitions or emotional challenges. Jada employs client-centered therapy, which means clients take an active role in employing strategies for healing.


First Responder Counseling in Oswego

Jada received specialized training as a first responder counselor and has dedicated herself to gaining a working knowledge of the unique first responder culture and experience. Firefighter, paramedics, police officers, dispatch, and other law enforcement officers often have to deal with an overwhelming amount of psychological and emotional stress, including PTSD. Jada offers support and counseling to these first responders. Jada has experience working with patients at an inpatient program for the treatment of substance abuse for first responders and paramedics. She also recently received her certification as a Recovery Coach from Governor’s State University and her CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor).


Jada was invited to join the advisory committee for the Illinois Fire Service Institute in Champaign, IL.  Jada has also been published in Fire Engineering Magazine and Fire Rescue Magazine. She was recently invited to be the Keynote Speaker at The National Fire Academy.

As a high school and college counselor for 15 years, Jada is able to offer personality assessments, academic and career counseling as well as helping children and teens explore and identify the areas and issues detrimental to their emotional well-being.    Jada also has experience counseling children on issues related to pediatric oncology, grief and loss counseling as well as domestic abuse and sexual assault.
