A Compassionate, Licensed Aurora Counselor

Jada Hudson (M.S., LCPC, CADC), is a licensed clinical counselor and owner of Hudson Clinical Counseling who has helped individuals heal, grow and live for more than 20 years.  Jada specializes in working with first responders, who have experienced occupation stress and trauma.  She deeply cares about helping police officers, firefighters, dispatch, and other officers overcome job-related stress and PTSD. In a safe, non-judgmental environment she also counsels women, children and adolescents struggling to manage life’s transitions or emotional challenges.  Jada employs client-centered therapy that empowers individuals to take an active role in managing their life challenges.


Jada has a special interest in counseling substance abuse clients and received her certification as a Recovery Coach from Governor’s State University through the Illinois Department of Human Services Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse. She earned her CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) by the Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification Association, Inc.


Aurora Counselor for First Responders

As an Aurora counselor, Jada offers support to first responders who have to deal with an overwhelming amount of emotional and psychological stress related to their profession. She has received extensive training to counsel first responders and has gained a working knowledge of the unique first responder culture and experience.  She has worked with patients at an inpatient program for the treatment of substance abuse for firefighters and paramedic. Jada was invited to join the advisory committee for the Illinois Fire Service Institute in Champaign, IL.  Jada has also been published in Fire Engineering Magazine and Fire Rescue Magazine. Recently, she was invited to be the Keynote Speaker at The National Fire Academy. 


Counseling for Children and Teens in Aurora

Throughout her career as an Aurora counselor, Jada has helped her young clients explore and identify the areas and issues detrimental to their emotional well-being.  Jada has experience helping children and adolescents with behavioral and mental health issues relating to substance abuse, anxiety, and depression.  She also has experience in domestic abuse, sexual assault, and grief counseling.

Jada understands the special needs of women and the demands of a career, motherhood, and caring for a family which can be emotionally unsettling or even traumatic. She uses an eclectic approach, which combines techniques from client-centered therapies, where the client will learn to identify areas in their life that need change and how to employ insightful strategies to manage life challenges and stresses to heal, grow, and live! Jada also has experience working in a women’s domestic abuse shelter and has a thorough understanding of the cycle of violence.
